Do Velké Británie jsem jel v rámci specializované konference Lowland Farmland Birds 3: Delivering Solutions In An Uncertain World, pořádané British Ornithologist Union (BOU). Protože mi vyzbyl čas, odskočil jsem si na dvoudenní návštěvu Londýna.

I visited Great Britain when I went to the conference Lowland Farmland Birds 3: Delivering Solutions In An Uncertain World, organized by British Ornithologist Union (BOU). And when I had some free time, I did a two-day long visit of London.

Londýn, město ptáků/London, city of the birds

London city a londýnské parky plné zvířat... Londýn město Jamese Bonda. Památky a životní styl. A pak místa oddechu, londýnské parky. Snad v životě jsem neviděl tolik vrubozobých pohromadě. Prostorné a krásné parky doslova překypují životem. Najdete tu druhy evropské i mimoevropské. Zjevně největší atrakcí je čtyřčlenná skupina pelikánů včetně jednoho pelikána severoamerického v St. James parku, kteří se každý den ve 14.30 krmí. Den a půl dlouhá exkurze po konferenci v Leicesteru při čekání na letadlo domů.

London city and the parks, full of the animals. London, the city of James Bond. Historical places and the living style. I have never seen as much waterfowls as they have here in the parks. Beside of it, the parks are very spacious and full of the life. One of the biggest atraction of them is probably the group of four pelicans include one White American Pelican which is fed every day at 2.30 PM. One and a half day – long excursion after the conference in Leicester.
